BA Hons in English Language and Linguistics, MA in Speech and Language Therapy
Hello, my name is Liv! I studied a 3-year undergraduate degree in English Language and Linguistics at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge and went on to complete a 2-year Master’s in Speech and Language Therapy at City University in London. I have worked in many schools across the UK as a teaching assistant in mainstream and have spent time in some special educational needs settings. I am enthusiastic about helping those with speech, language, literacy, and communication difficulties. I am passionate about involving families in the process of speech and language therapy and blending therapy to fit the interests and motivations of the child. I am interested in learning more about hearing impairments in school-aged children. I love working with a mix of secondary and primary schools as I love the variety of people I meet. Working for Words First has allowed me to start my newly-qualified-therapist life with confidence and bundles of support! In my free time I love watching West End musicals in London and going on long country walks with my dog, with the occasional pub lunch, of course! If you had to call my best friend and ask him to describe me, I think he would say I am “approachable, entertaining and hardworking”.
