Hi, my name is Kritanya
I graduated with a Bachelor of Speech-Language Pathology (Hons) from the University of KwaZulu Natal in 2021.
I discovered an interest in helping children with special needs during my community service year at Lydenburg Hospital, in rural Mpumalanga, South Africa. Here I had the opportunity to learn about the different beliefs and cultures of South Africa’s diverse population. It also taught me how to think on my feet and out of the box, as a therapist and an individual.
Following that, I joined a paediatric practice in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa, where I had the pleasure of working with children with speech, language and literacy difficulties at various schools in the area. I am passionate about helping children reach their full potential despite their difficulties or circumstances. I believe that “if a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn”- Ignacio Estrada, as each child is unique and special in their own way.
In my spare time I enjoy shopping, spending time with my family, visiting different coffee shops and watching Bollywood movies.
The three words that best describe me are enthusiastic, organised and flamboyant.
