Hi, we are Louise and Kevin Egan
We are an independent education support company offering high quality support to schools through an experienced Clinical Psychologist, SENCO, Mental Health First Aider and primary school teacher. We offer multidisciplinary services such as specialist educational needs consultation and psychological assessment, therapy, training, consultation and supervision across the United Kingdom. For example, we regularly offer Mental Health Awareness, Building Self Esteem in EYFS and Staff Wellbeing training to schools across the UK. We also offer supervision to senior leaders and all teaching staff in education.
Over the past 17 years Dr Louise Egan has worked as a clinical psychologist with individuals of all ages in Child Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Children’s Social Care Teams, Doctorate university training, the independent and charitable sectors. Since 2010 Mr Kevin Egan has worked in primary education as a key stage lead, SENCO, senior leader and Mental Health First Aider (MFA). We both have first-hand experience of the challenges of mental health in today’s society and working in education. Our training and supervision feedback from teachers and senior leadership teams strongly supports the need for our training programmes and services. At Words First, we offer structure peer supervision sessions for therapists working in the area of Socio-Emotional and Mental Health. We provide regular support in small groups to ensure the Words First team have the support they need in order to work in challenging environments.
