Our success in our daily functioning relies directly on the input and information we receive from our senses, our ability to process the information and respond correctly. For most children, integration of their sensory systems in an ever changing and ‘busy’ sensory environment responding appropriately comes naturally and supports healthy overall development. Adapting to new and novel sensory experiences at varied levels of intensity becomes normal as play develops.
