Hi, my name is Maggie Crighton
I come from a retail and distribution background having gained front line operational management experience skills in tandem with having senior Human Resource roles within major household named organisations. My final corporate role was that of Group Human Resource Director and main board Director of a prominent uk wide and international organisation. A role I absolutely adored and very proud of what we in our specialised departments achieved in the phenomenal organic growth of the business and most importantly the workforce.
I studied at Blairgowrie High School, Dundee College of Commerce, Lancaster University 2 year course – I am a Graduate of The Institute of Personnel Management (1978) and I am currently based in Carlisle, but have clients UK wide and work globally if required to do so.
I founded the business 21 years after leaving corporate life. We work with small to medium size businesses across 28 different sectors including several charitable organisations and have available the full range of services any corporate HR department would provide. We like clients to think of us as their own HR, just not based on site
For me building credible and trusted relationships with people in the business community is fundamental to how we operate.
Our work with Words First encompasses General HR support, providing employment advice, assisting with people issue and Employment Law regulations.
