Kim Elston

Clinical Lead OT

Hi, my name is Kim.

I studied Occupational Therapy at the University of Cape Town, South Africa and graduated in 2001. I have worked in the UK and South Africa in a variety of settings including the NHS, Social Services and Private Practice.

My area of specialism is Paediatric Sensory Integration and I have studied further in the field of Sensory Integration completing my qualification in 2012. I also have an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of South Africa.

I am passionate about supporting children and their families in every way possible and in every setting that they find themselves in. My role at Words First is OT Clinical Lead for schools and I am looking forward to working with our incredible Occupational Therapy team to provide an outstanding Occupational Therapy provision within all our schools.

I have lived in 5 different countries and enjoy experiencing different cultures, learning new languages and seeing the world. When I am not working, I am generally researching a new travel destination or on holiday exploring somewhere new!

I have two children and I love spending time with them and my husband. More often than not over weekends you will find us on the side-lines of a sports field supporting our childrenā€˜s teams or spending time with family and friends.
