Hello, my name is Gel!
I studied at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in the Philippines and graduated in 2014. I am also in the process of completing my Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from the same university.
My practice concentrated on the private paediatric setting supporting children and families understand the condition, achieve milestones, realise strengths, and enable participation across different areas. My professional journey led me to gain a special interest in the areas of handwriting and evidence-based practice. Through Words First, I migrated to the UK in 2022. I am now a Level 5B Occupational Therapist and a Clinical Supervisor assisting new-starters and colleagues in the company. Words First has given me the opportunity to dive into different clinical roles and appreciate the value occupational therapy can offer in schools.
In my spare time, I like to catch-up on series or movies. I also enjoy exploring new places and looking for the best food spots in the area. My friends would describe me as: nurturing, funny, and enthusiastic!
