Hello my name is Dani
I studied at UCT & qualified in 2020.
Past experience: I spent 2021 working in a paediatric hospital, getting experience with a range of children from neonates up to age 13. During my studies, I also spent a lot of time tutoring children with literacy and learning difficulties – particularly through lockdown when children were being home-schooled.
Special areas of interest: I am particularly interested in developing literacy skills with younger children, however, I’m excited for the opportunity to work with a range of children & ages through Words First.
A little bit about me: In my spare time, I like to stay active and enjoy being out in nature. I love activities like hiking, camping, scuba diving and running/strolling through beautiful locations. When I’m after something a bit more relaxing, I love experimenting in the kitchen with new veggie recipes or combining some good wine and below average artistic abilities in a ‘paint & sip’ with friends.
A book that has had the biggest impact on me is The Defining Decade by Meg Jay. It’s a refreshing take on being in your twenties, written by a psychologist. It left me feeling so positive and excited about all the opportunities that are available during this stage of my life.
