SALT

Hello, my name is Megha.Ā Ā

I studied at the University of East Anglia and graduated in 2022. I have recently completed my MSc in Clinical Research whereby my thesis involved researching the practices of Speech and Language Therapists working with our bilingual caseloads, something that is really important to me. During my MSc, I also worked part-time as a Speech and Language Therapist, working with children with a variety of needs and presentations.Ā Ā

I have many special areas of interest (the list keeps growing!), but I am particularly interested in bilingualism, speech sounds, complex needs and stammering. I am also really interested in paediatric dysphagia which Iā€™m really excited to develop my knowledge and experience of.Ā  I am passionate about diversity and equality within the field of speech and language therapy, and this is something I am involved with nationally. I am also incredibly passionate about providing personalised care to each child that I am working with and love working alongside their families and other professionals to ensure holistic and person-cantered care, including making up games specific to each child’s interests!Ā Ā

In my spare time, I love to go out with my family and friends. I love to explore new restaurants and try new things. I also love to cook for all my family and friends, I particularly enjoy trying out new recipes from various parts of the world, particularly when lots of steps are involved! I also enjoy going to the gym and keeping fit as this is something really important to me. I enjoy watching football and supporting my team, Liverpool FC.Ā Ā

If I had to call my best friends and ask them to describe me, I think they would describe me as creative, hard-working, and compassionate.Ā
