Hello, my name is Prushonti.
I qualified as a Speech Therapist & Audiologist in 1998 from the University of KwaZulu Natal (Westville). Over the past 24 years I have worked with diverse communities in health, education, private practice, and NGOs and have worked with children to develop their speech, language, hearing, and literacy skills. I am dedicated and passionate about championing children and their families through their own unique journey. My area of interest developed in literacy & dyslexia, and I completed the Award in Dyslexia & Literacy (endorsed by the British dyslexic Association) and Rave-O training in 2019. My rich cultural awareness which is shaped as a South African helps me connect and supports others.
In my spare time, you will find me spending time with my husband, daughter, and fur-baby. My friends will describe me as generous, empathetic, and a great plant preserver, with non- existent bike-riding skills.
