Hello, I’m Nic.
I started my SaLT career as therapy assistant, later studying at City University in London, where I qualified in 2008. I then worked for the NHS, predominantly within mainstream schools. This is my seventh year working for Words First – the team are so supportive and inspiring.
I have learned so much from them, as well as from my schools – the students, parents and staff. My special interests are secondary schools and SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) and I am also a Team Lead. I believe everyone should have their voice heard and I strive to support students and supervisees alike to be confident enough to use them!
Apart from being a SaLT, I am also a mum to 2 daughters – we love swimming and riding our bikes, eating ice cream, baking, building dens and movie night! If you asked my best friend to describe me, I think she would say I am loyal, compassionate, and caring.
