Illian Mosa

Hello my name is Illian.

I am a Speech and Language Therapist with Arabic origin from Sweden. I studied in Gothenburg and graduated with a Master of Science in Speech and Language Pathology in May 2023. I moved to the UK in July and joined Words First shortly after that.

I’ve worked in hospitals specialising in neurology, meeting patients with communication and swallowing difficulties post-stroke. I have also worked in paediatrics, at two different hospitals meeting children with various communication difficulties. My areas of interest are ASD, speech sound and fluency disorders. 

I’m very passionate about children with communication difficulties but my heart beats a little extra for neurodiverse bilingual or multilingual children with communication difficulties. Any kind of progress, even the smallest bit should be celebrated and I like to implement that in my sessions with the children, teachers or parents. 

When I’m not working, I love to spend quality time with my loved ones. I love to travel and explore the world. My best friends describe me as talkative, thoughtful, loving, calm and open minded.
