Hi, I’m Chloe.
I graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2020 with a BSC in Speech-Language Pathology (Hons). I did my year of community service in Benedictine Hospital Nongoma, Zululand a rural part of South Africa. There I ran the speech therapy department for three local hospitals. The hospitals had a wide range of cases from premature infants to 90-year-old grandparents. During this year is where I discovered my love for children with communication disorders and more complex needs.
I love working for words first as it is a passion-driven company that strives for the best in all. The training and one on one peer supervision creates a supportive and welcoming environment that I am so lucky to be a part of.
I am an avid reader, a lover of yoga and an occasional artist. A book that has had a huge impact on my life is The Anthropocene Reviewed by John Green, those short essays allow you to see the beauty in everyday life. Reading has taught me empathy which is an aspect I have taken into my practice. I want to help parents, teachers see their children’s strengths through empathic therapy.
