Hello my name is Kaylin
I graduated from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, in South Africa with a Bachelor of Speech and Language Therapy in 2021. I completed my year of community service at a tertiary-level hospital in Soweto, Gauteng in 2022, where I had the opportunity to work with a variety of people. It allowed me to grow both clinically and personally as I learned more about myself and the people I work with.
I have a keen interest in developing children’s speech, language, and literacy to help them with learning in the classroom and I have a deep love for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am passionate about helping children communicate in a way that allows them to be fully integrated into their families, schools, and greater communities.
In my spare time, you will find me either on the couch watching series/reading a book or outdoors exploring nature with my loved ones. A book that has had the biggest impact on my life is “Switch on your brain” by Dr. Caroline Leaf as it has taught me how I have full power to take control of my life and change it for the better.
