Hello my name is Kaylin
I hold a B-Speech and Language Therapy (Hons) degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, graduating in 2021. Following my graduation, I completed a year of community service at a tertiary-level hospital in Soweto, Gauteng, during 2022. This experience provided me with the invaluable opportunity to engage with a variety of people.
I started my journey with Words First Ltd in January 2023, where I am currently involved in improving the educational environment within Mainstream Primary and Secondary schools. I have a keen interest in developing children’s speech, language, and literacy to help them with learning in the classroom. I am passionate about helping children communicate in a way that allows them to be fully integrated into their families, schools, and greater communities.
In my spare time, you will find me either on the couch watching series/reading a book or outdoors exploring nature with my loved ones. A book that has had the biggest impact on my life is “Switch on your brain” by Dr. Caroline Leaf as it has taught me how I have full power to take control of my life and change it for the better.
