SALT

Hi! My name is Jodi.

I graduated in 2021 from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. Since graduating, I completed my community service year at Kopanong Hospital where I worked with a diverse group of paediatric and adult caseloads with both dysphagia and communication difficulties. My special interests lie in paediatrics and I am passionate about working with children to reach their full potential across all settings. I hope to reach out to parents and carers to include everybody in the therapy process as much as possible as there is so much reward in seeing a student thrive and as thrilled to work with me as I am to work with them. Words First is an environment that allows us as clinicians to work together to provide the best intervention for learners and I am both thrilled and grateful to launch my career at this dynamic company.

I will be working in both primary and secondary school environments and look forward to being supported and mentored by such a highly qualified and experienced team of SaLTs.

In my spare time, I love exploring and touring London, as well as spending time with my friends and soaking in the sun. If you had to call my best friend and ask her to describe me, I think she’d describe me as compassionate, hard-working, and a go-getter.
