Hello, my name is Ida.
I obtained my bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines last 2017. Since then, I have worked in private paediatric clinics. Aside from this, I have experience in clinic management as a part-time manager. I was also a clinical supervisor for my alma mater where I had guided student clinicians with provision of therapy services.
In addition to this, I have had the role of the head of speech therapy department in a private clinic where I was tasked to design and implement an internship program for student clinicians from my alma mater, and coordinate with the roster clinical supervisors in the clinic. Over the course of my work, I have developed a particular interest in literacy, apraxia, and generally language for learning. In my practice, I always make sure to educate and counsel families and colleagues on how to better understand speech and language therapy, how to communicate effectively with their children, and how to take things step by step.
Outside of speech therapy, I enjoy music as I like to sing and dance. You’ll also find me reading poetry and watching movies. People tend to describe me as organized, principled, and intuitive.
