Erantia Coertze

SaLT

Hello, my name is Erantia.

I studied at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. I completed my undergraduate degree in 2016 and my Master’s degree in 2017. While completing my Master’s degree, I was a tutor and clinical supervisor for students at the University of Pretoria. In 2018 I worked at a hospital in the North West province of South Africa. In 2019 I moved back to Johannesburg and worked at a paediatric private practice focusing on clients with a variety of SLCN. In January 2020 I started my own private practice and ran it successfully until joining the Words First team in September 2021.

I have a special interest in augmentative and alternative communication, and working with students with social communication difficulties. I resonate with the core beliefs of Words First and believe that collaborating with parents, families, teachers and other professionals is of utmost importance in providing an effective and holistic service. I believe that in order to provide successful therapy, you have to be flexible in your approach and therefore I strive to ensure that I am continuously learning and improving my knowledge.

Every time a child reaches a goal, no matter how small, I see it as an achievement and cause for celebration. I love what I do and would like to share my love of speech and language therapy wherever I go. I am a Level 5b SaLT/clinical supervisor at WF, working full-time at primary and secondary schools in South-East London. I love that WF as a company is flexible in its service provision, and that services are individualized per school to ensure that each school receives exactly what they need.

I am a fun and loving person who strives to go the extra mile. I love spending time with friends and family, and enjoy going to concerts and discovering new restaurants and experiencing new food. If you had to call my best friend and ask her to describe me, I think she’d describe me as “fun, kind and caring.”
