Hello my name is Heena,
I attained my bachelors degree in Speech and Hearing therapy at the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa in 2015. I have gained experience by working in the public health sector, private sector and the public education sector. Each of these working environments have provided me with knowledge and expertise to work with people from all walks of life.
My main area of interest includes working with the Paediatric population, dealing with special needs, speech and language disorders assessment and intervention. I am most passionate about hearing loss, the associated difficulties and the rehabilitation thereof.
I hope to continue bridging the gap between the Deaf and Hearing communities, advocating for Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals and providing holistic and functional therapy.
I like to think I am an adventurous cook and traveller; I love to sample different cuisines on my travels and attempt to recreate them.
My friends and family would describe me as an old soul and an excellent advice giver!
